From Idea to Reality: How Bike Queenstown Came to Life

Bike Queenstown isn’t just a business. It’s a dream come true for our founder, Russ Paver, who has spent over a decade living, riding, and breathing the MTB dream that is  Queenstown. Russ was one of the early MTB seasonairres (also known as Bike bums) over 14 years ago before spending a decade founding and running Bike Morzine in the French Alps, a business that has become Europe’s go-to mountain bike holidays for riders looking to experience the best of the European Alps.

As one of the original "bike bums" in the early Queenstown MTB scene, Russ has seen mountain biking go from strength to strength in New Zealand’s adventure capital.  From just handful of trails built by passionate locals to 8 World Class bikeparks, some of the Worlds best public jump parks and an endless amount of trails linking between. Bike Queenstown was born to offer a next-level MTB experiences Russ brought to the French Alps – with all the flair and thrill that only Queenstown can provide.
